New SHINEDOWN cd Threat To Survival in Stores – new images from 2013 tour

In honor of the release of SHINEDOWN’s new cd Threat To Survival, I have added some images from 3 shows I photographed on their last

tour in 2013. I have been friends with and photographing the band since back in 2004 and have had some amazing times with them on and off stage over the past decade, and look forward to seeing them hit the stage again in just a few weeks at the Louder Than Life festival in Louisville, Ky. Over time I will add more images from the nearly 50 shows I have done with them. Todays addition is a handful of my favorites from 3 shows in 2013 in Anaheim California, Nashville Tennessee and Jacksonville Florida. You can view the images here:

Disturbed gallery updated with images from 9 2011 Mayhem fest shows

As time allows I will continue to add photos of bands from the past 17 years of my career. I have been very meticulous in my archiving , some bands as you may know i have photographed upwards of 50 or more times. You can browse images of each band in order from current to oldest by date separated by year and date of each show !

Tonight , in celebration of their new and 5th #1 album, I have updated the Disturbed live photos gallery.   Disturbed was the headlining act on the 2011 Rockstar Energy drink Mayhem Festival. I photographed 16 of the bands show on this tour from everywhere on stage, to the back of the arenas. Here is a sampling of some of my favorites from 9 city’s across the country. Following this tour the band took what at the time was an undetermined hiatus. It is now 2015 and the beast has awoken. I look forward to working with the guys again next year when the hit the road in support of IMMORTALIZED . Contact me directly for editorial, commercial or promotional licensing, or for one of a kind custom prints.

You can see the new images as well as photos going back to Ozzfest 2003 at the link below ! i will fill in the years over time. Enjoy

I keep meaning to update here daily, but  life happens, and before I know it, a week or more has gone by. LOTS going on lately

keeping me incredibly busy. In the last 4 weeks I rode my bike over 3000 miles to the 75th annual Sturgis Motorcycle rally and hung out

for 7 days. I will post photos from the trip and amazing landmarks like Mt. Rushmore and Crazy Horse soon. Followed that up with a quick trip to Dallas for our annual Ride For Dime charity event down there, as always had a great time seeing old friends and meeting new ones. Spent 3 beautiful days at “the compound” as Darrell and Rita affectionately call it. More details on that weekend and photos to come this week as well as i try to catch up and stay current.

Lots of behind the scenes work going on as we get closer to the 4th annual Nashville Ride For Dime featuring SLAUGHTER this year. It too will have a separate update with ALL the details about our show this year , which is our biggest show to date. We have moved up to a 1600 seat venue – Marathon Music Works in downtown nashville.

Things have been jumping at Chad Lee Photography studio also with some amazing shoots in the past few weeks that have included legendary

Pantera bassist and friend Rex Brown. Rex and I had an epic 2 day shoot that included getting him neck deep in the Harpeth River, and 2 days in the studio photographing all kinds of things that I can share with you soon ! Had a great shoot with the high priestess of modern rock and roll Lzzy Hale of Halestorm for a few upcoming projects that include Marshall amps, and much like Rex, other things i can share soon. She is an absolute pleasure to work with, and always fun to hang with. We followed the shoot with a great dinner with NIck Bowcott and Halestorm guitarist Joe Hottinger.

Yesterday I spent a few hours in the studio with the guys in BEYONDUPLICATION from Bowling Green Kentucky. An AMAZING group of guys and they bring the METAL !! Super nice and humble guys, with an amazing drive and work effort, putting everything they have into this band. Recently wrapped up recording a new cd here in nashville and prepping to unleash it on the world. We had an AMAZING shoot taht included lighting drums on fire, which always makes for a good day !

here are some samples from the above mentioned shoots – stay tuned for more !
