This weekend’s addition now brings the concert gallery to a total of 16 shows with over 250 photographs. Other additions include portrait sessions with Dave and the band at several locations.
As a life long fan of the band , it has been an honor and a privilege to get to work so closely with the band the past decade or so.
Lamb Of God photo galleries have been updated. Live concert gallery now has images from 14 shows and over 100 photos. Shots go back to Ozzfest 2004 , as well as Mayhem Fest and Knotfest .
Photos of Mark Morton taken at The Rave in Milwaukee Wisconsin in 2007 have been added to the portrait gallery. Images of Willie Adler taken at his home in Virginia in 2006 and 2009 in Indianapolis on the Metallica tour.
Anthrax is an American thrash metal band from New York City, formed in 1981 by rhythm guitarist Scott Ian and bassist Dan Lilker. The group was considered one of the leaders of the thrash metal scene during the 1980s. Of the “Big Four” thrash metal bands (the others being Metallica, Megadeth and Slayer), Anthrax were the only band from the East Coast. As of April 2017, the band has released 11 studio albums, several other albums, and 26 singles, including collaborating on a single with American hip hop group Public Enemy. According to Nielsen SoundScan, Anthrax sold 2.5 million records in the United States from 1991 to 2004, with worldwide sales of 10 million.
Noted for its live performances, Anthrax signed with the independent label Megaforce Records, which released the band’s debut studio album in 1984. Lilker soon left the band to form Nuclear Assault, and was replaced by roadieFrank Bello. Lead vocalist Neil Turbin was replaced after two years by Matt Fallon, who was then subsequently replaced in 1984 by Joey Belladonna. With a new lineup, the band recorded Spreading the Disease (distributed by Island Records) in 1985. Anthrax’s third album, Among the Living, was released in 1987 to critical praise. The band experienced another lineup change in 1992, when John Bush from Armored Saint replaced Belladonna as lead vocalist. Sound of White Noise was released the following year, peaking at number seven on the Billboard 200. Studio recordings during the 1990s saw the band, influenced by other genres, experimenting with its sound.
Anthrax’s lineup has changed several times over their career. The band has had a number of vocalists including Neil Turbin, Joey Belladonna, Dan Nelson and John Bush. Founding member Scott Ian and early arrival Charlie Benante, who joined Anthrax in 1983, are the only band members to appear on every album. Bassist Frank Bello has played on every album, except for the band’s debut Fistful of Metal, which featured Dan Lilker. In 2010, Belladonna returned to Anthrax and has since recorded two more studio albums with the band, Worship Music (2011) and For All Kings (2016)
One of my favorite bands to shoot in the world is most definitely In This Moment. It has been a truly unique experience watching the band evolve from what was in the beginning, an opening stage act on Ozzfest to what is now a band headlining their own national tours .
Their image has been a constant evolution, that continues to grow each year. Their concerts have become come well known for the several costume changes and on-stage imagery that constantly changes through their performance. After having spent several tours together and many other events, I am honored to consider them great friends.
My portfolio of In This Moment has has been updated with all of the individual photo galleries from the fourteen shows that I have photographed, including several festivals such as the Mayhem Festival, Rock On The Range, Welcome To Rockville and Louder Than Life.
You can view over one hundred concert photos from several shows at this link:
In This Moment are currently signed to Atlantic records and are in the writing process for their sixth studio album. They just rolled out on what is sure to be the first of many tours this year. Past albums have spawned crowd favorites like “Gun Show,” “Blood,” “Adrenalize” and numerous others.
In This Moment is sponsored by Monster Energy Drinks, Schecter Guitars and EMG Pickups.
As always, when time allows I have been going back through my archives of images from the past 20 years and adding content from past shows and shoots to the site.
This weekend’s update is the the Artist Promo/Portrait/Studio section. Additions include photos to the Hellyeah gallery from four different shoots with the band in 2006, 2007 and 2010.
Includes never before seen images from the bands first photo shoot that we did in October of 2006 in Chicago over two days for the album cover artwork and press for the debut cd, which landed at #8 on the Billboard charts.
Another addition are photos of SLAYER and EXODUS guitarist Gary Holt , taken in my studio in February of 2016 on an off night from the Slayer/Testament tour. Gary had just received his new ESP GUITARS custom guitar painted in his own blood by artist VINCENT CASTIGLIA. This was the first shoot he had done with it , and what an amazing piece of art it is ! As a long time fan of both bands it was an honor to have him along with Chuck and Tiffany Billy in the studio followed by some amazing Bbq.
Here is a shot of the amazing piece of art from the studio shoot as well as one of it live on stage in action at a show in Atlanta later in the year
Final addition is a gallery of photos from a couple photos shoots over the years with friend Chuck Garric , bassist of Alice Cooper and front man of his own band Beasto Blanco that features Alice’s daughter Calico Cooper ! If you have not heard them yet , do yourself a favor and go pick up BOTH of their cd’s ASAP . Best description of Beasto Blanco is that if Motorhead and Rob Zombie had a baby it would be Beasto Blanco. Images from our first shoot together for Esp guitars back in 2007 before an Alice Cooper show as well as photos we took at The SLaughterhouse Haunted House in Nashville in September of 2016 can be seen here : Chuck Garric photos

Had a great time working the past two nights with Rick Springfield at the Legendary Wildhorse Saloon here in Nashville. This marks 10 years in a row that Rick has sold out back to back nights over Valentine’s Day weekend. At 67 years young, he is still kicking ass and taking names. I highly suggest checking out one of his shows if you have the chance. They are full of timeless classic hits like Human Touch, Don’t Talk To Strangers, Affair Of The Heart, I’ve Done everything For You and of course the crowd favorite Jessie’s Girl. Aside from the great music, Rick is an all around entertainer with amazing crowd interaction including bringing kids up on stage to sing and dance, walking into the crowd on tables during Human Touch and personal banter with fans during the show.
I have had the pleasure of shooting these Valentine’s shows with him for the past 7 years including the after show meet and greets with the fans, who are incredibly passionate and supportive, many of them having travelled from other parts of the country and having seen him numerous times.
Saturday night he was joined on stage by long time former drummer Jack White who resides here in Nashville for a cover of the Kinks classic You Really Got Me. Past years have seen celebrity guests join him to sing along including Tom Kiefer, The Nelson Brothers and several others.
